Many people were away on holiday this week so it was nice and quiet and I managed to catch up with a number of things.

Project Management has much in common with the plate spinning acts one used to see at the circus. Put up the bamboo poles, spin the plates, and here comes the skill, keep them spinning. Without Woolworths, for the replacement of breakages, this was a good time to give a few wobbly plates a respin.

There was also final planning to be done for the Dry Stone Walling Training weekend, to be run on Saturday and Sunday April 18 and 19. The portaloo, hired from Hansons, had to be be delivered and checked and the stone positioned at the wall. The bus to take attendees from Guildford Square, out to the site and back each day, needed to be confirmed and the hotel bookings had to be finalised.

I went out first thing Saturday morning and gave the loo a good Dettol clean before welcoming the attendees and loading them onto the bus. We had 19 each day plus the three trainers.

The weather was magnificent and the walling a truimph. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly and began to learn a new skill.

Many thanks to the Dry Stone Walling Associatiion for providing the instruction for this event.

See the events log for other Dry Stone Walling events.
