I can hardly believe it, another quarter has flown by and here we are submitting the third claim to the Heritage Lottery Fund. It always takes a lot of time and there is a great deal of paperwork, but we got there! Thanks to Shron for all her help in pulling it all together. Loking at the height of the pile of paper I was moved to say 'trees have died for this project'.
In the latter part of the week we packed up the long planned exhibition and went to the Community Archaeology Confernece in Musselburgh. The DBLPS shared an exhibition space with the Buteshire Natural History Society (BNHS) and the Scotlan's Rural Past Project (SRP).
The conference was very well attended and good discussions were held with our friends at the Royal Commission (RCAHMS), Historic Scotland, The National Trust for Scotland, Archaeology Scotland, John and Rosie Wells from Armadale etc.
