Would you be interested in joining the group of volunteers who are collecting field-names, rock-names, burn-names etc. from the various farms around Bute, talking to farmers to ask for pronunciations etc. I don't have you on my list (there are a couple of dozen volunteers at present) but if you live on Bute you might like to take part, and I could send you the information you would need.
