Bridget What do you think of the DBLPS? We need to know what you think of the DBLPS. Is it money well spent? Have you seen a difference in rural Bute? Have you been involved? Have you enjoyed one of our events? On August 1st 2011 we will go into the final year of the project. What do you think so far? If there are major issues we still have time to make some corrections and adjustments. Of course we have to do what we set out to do in June of 2008 when we were awarded our funding, we are not allowed to make dramatic changes. We must continue with walling, hedges, milestones, paths, access, archaeology and inclusion. But what could be improved? What do you think has worked and is working? What do you like? What is going well? Are you a farmer, a school person, an archaeologist, botanist, waller, twitcher, historian, rambler.....or perhaps someone who has no interest in these matters! We want to know your views. Please post comments on this site or email me: bridget.paterson@argyll-bute.gov.uk Thanks

Bridget Scalpsie Midsummer Celebrations A massive thank you to everyone who worked so very hard to make the Scalpsie Celebration event such a big success. Another equally big thank you to the 400 or so people who came to Scalpsie and took part in the many and varied landscape based activities on offer. You did not let the weather put you off and for that I salute you.
