Clearing Thom's Cuts
Cotton mill owner Robert Thom created a series of "cuts" - small canals - to channel water from around Bute to supply his mills in Rothesay. Invasive vegetation is being removed from the cut above Scalpsie. A high def version is at http://youtu.be/loipeRH9SvY
